The Eastern White Pine is a beautiful landscape pine widely used throughout much of North America. It is a fast growing species with bluish or greenish foliage depending on the individual tree. Both Maine and Missouri have chosen it as their state tree. It ranges in height from 50 to 80 ft. It's width ranges from 25-35 ft. It's cold hardy to zone 3. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and cool conditions. It also preferes full sun.
Recommended Planting Instructions:
Scarification: Soak in water for 48 hours, change water each day. Stratification: Cold stratify for 60 days. Germination: Sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp soil, and mulch seed bed.
